Privacy policy

This page covers the Curiofy website and the Batchframe Chrome extension, sold as the YouTube Bulk Metadata Editor.

This website

Curiofy’s pages are static files. The site does not run a server-side app, does not set cookies, and does not load analytics or advertising. The contact address is a mailto link. Your mail app sends the message. This site does not receive a copy of it.

The extension is client-side only

Batchframe runs in your browser. There is no Curiofy backend. Video titles, descriptions, translations, and channel data are not sent to Curiofy, to an analytics service, or to an ad network.

That data is sent only to Google, and only when you load your channel or apply an edit or a revert. The calls go to the YouTube Data API. Thumbnails are requested from YouTube’s image hosts (i.ytimg.com, yt3.ggpht.com, and yt3.googleusercontent.com) with referrerpolicy="no-referrer". Signing out asks oauth2.googleapis.com to revoke the access token.

What the extension reads

After you connect Google, it asks for the channels on that account and the videos on the channel you pick: video id, title, description, category, tags, privacy status, publish time, default language, and localized titles and descriptions.

What stays on the device

License keys

Activating Pro sends the license key and a random instance name to Lemon Squeezy at https://api.lemonsqueezy.com/v1/licenses/activate. About once a week the extension sends the key and the instance id to https://api.lemonsqueezy.com/v1/licenses/validate. Removing Pro sends them to https://api.lemonsqueezy.com/v1/licenses/deactivate. Those requests do not include video titles, descriptions, or the channel id. The response may contain a buyer email. Batchframe does not store that email. A key is accepted only when meta.store_id is 504447, the Curiofy store. If Lemon Squeezy cannot be reached during a weekly check, Pro stays on from the last successful check. A new key cannot be activated while offline.

Google API Limited Use

Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. YouTube data is used only to show your videos and to apply the edits you start. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not read by Curiofy.

Retention

Removing a batch in History deletes that undo snapshot. Removing the license deletes the stored key. Uninstalling the extension deletes its Chrome storage and IndexedDB. Revoking access in your Google Account removes the grant even if the extension is still installed.

Children

The extension is a tool for the person who operates a channel. It is not directed at children.
